Clif's Shoe Shine Parlor in Spruce Hill is questionable to say the least. I've been there before and received good service from a young man who acted professionally. This time an older man (from the reviews I read on Yelp! it is the owner. If you are a woman I advise you to check out those reviews). First the shoes were not ready when he said they would be. He said two days...it took a week. One pair needed the sole reattached, the other had some nicks that I wasn't sure could be repaired. He assured me he could glue the nicks down and polish them. There was no sign of any work on the nicks. The other pair he had to fix again after the first out of three times I went back...the sole was coming off again before I left the store! When I called to see if they were done he had the audacity to try to be annoyed with me because I didn't come the day before. I reminded him he was the one who was late in the first place. Unfortunately I paid him and now the pair of shoes with the nicks(after a few hours I have not even worn them) have pieces of vinyl sticking up. This man is long on excuses, short on service.
